Navy Bases

The United States Navy has 53 or so Naval bases in the United States. The Navy uses these bases to train and keep ready the almost 500,000 military personnel administered by the Department of the Navy.

The mission of the Navy is to maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas.
